The main ignition control board controls gas intake, the ignition sequence and all the flame sensing devices. It is an important safety device that is usually a piece of the main circuit board instead of its own individual board.
Signs of a poorly performing ignition control board
- Initial sequence does not start then the thermostat send a signal
- The electrical signal from the thermostat does not get to the main control board
- Every other problem connected to the system is researched and comes to be in good condition
