Carrier 38TRA048 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor has an important job of cooling the compressor, because as the compressor gets hot the heat must be dispelled into the air. The unit may be replaced solely on its own, this can make the installation go smoother and reduce costs overall. Be certain you buy a replacement motor with the same voltage and the same amps as it is on the current motor.
Cues poorly running compressor fan motor
- An unpleasant rubbing noise while the cooling fan is stopping
- The compressor cooling motor starts to smoke or shorts out when it begins to turn
- The Carrier cooling motor does not move the blade
