Carrier 38TRA060 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is one of the safety features that will reliable sense the exact flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. As with most safety features, if the sensor generated a error everything remains shut off for as long as it takes to remedy the problem.
Some clues of an unhealthy flame sensor
- The gas supplying the furnace finds it impossible to begin an ignition sequence and shuts off
- The furnace works sporadically only
- The furnace will not begin operations at all
