Carrier 38TSA048 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has an important job of cooling the outdoor compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat energy has to be dispelled into the air. The unit may be replaced on its own as this results in an easier installation and helps you save some money. Please make sure the new motor has the proper voltage and the same amps as it is on the current motor.
Subtle hints the fan motor will not live much longer
- A weird squeaking sound as the motor is just starting
- The Carrier cooling motor cannot turn the blade
- The cooling motor smells burnt or throws sparks as it is used
