Carrier 38TXA024 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is responsible for cooling the outdoor compressor, this is needed because of the heat that needs to be dissipated. The unit may be replaced by itself without the fan blade, this will reduce install time and will reduce the costs you need to pay. Be sure you buy a replacement motor with the voltage that is the same and the proper amount of amperage as it is on the current motor.
How do you know when your fan motor is crapping out?
- An ugly grinding noise while the cooling fan is turning
- The compressor cooling motor starts to smoke or shorts out while it tries to spin
- The Carrier motor fails to spin at all
