Carrier 38TXA048 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has an important job of cooling the compressor, this is needed because of the heat must be dispelled into the air. Take the time to ensure you buy a replacement motor with the exact voltage and the same amps as it is on the current motor. The motor can be replaced without the need of replacing the blade too, this makes installation simpler and will reduce the costs you need to pay.
Some clues the fan motor will need replacing
- The cooling motor begins to smoke or sparks while in use
- A distinct rubbing or scraping sound while the cooling fan is starting
- The Carrier cooling motor fails to spin at all
