Carrier 38YCC030 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is primarily in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat must be driven away. It can be replaced without the necessity of buying a fan blade too, this may make it a lot easier and reduce costs overall. Just make certain the new motor has the similar voltage and the proper amount of amperage as it is on the bad motor.
Major signs the fan motor will need to be replaced
- A weird grinding noise when the cooling fan is stopping
- The motor starts to smoke or throws sparks when it is spinning
- The Carrier cooling motor cannot turn at all
