Carrier 38YD Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is a safety device that senses the flame while the system is starting. For obvious reasons, if the sensor goes off the whole system stops for as long as the problem remains.
How can I tell if my Carrier flame sensor has a need to be replaced?
- The whole system turns on sporadically but only on the third Wednesday of on months beginning on Thursday
- Your gas furnace is unable to supply heat when it is supposed to
- The gas will not properly ignite and the board throws an error
