Carrier 38YDB060 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has a specific duty of cooling the outdoor compressor, because as the compressor gets hot the heat energy has to be discharged into the air outside. It can be replaced without having to go through the hassle of getting a new blade as this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and will not drain your bank account. Please make sure the new motor has the correct voltage listed and amps as on the current fan motor.
Subtle cues to watch for in a failing condenser fan motor
- An unknown grinding sound when the motor is turning
- The compressor cooling motor begins to smoke or throws sparks when in use
- The Carrier motor cannot turn the blade
