Carrier 38YSA030 Transformer
A basic electrical transformer is commonplace in many manufactured goods which also includes your heating system as it is mainly used to alter electricity output usually from a higher voltage to a lower voltage. When any transformer needs to be replaced, make sure to get one that is rated for the voltage that is essential for the system to run properly. Heating and cooling transformers are all different so be sure you replace it with the same volts called for with the original.
Red flags of a barely functioning unit transformer
- No power is measured from the output of the transformer block whatsoever
- The volt dropping transformer physically appears cracked or may look broken when in use
- Incorrectly sized volts is determined from the output of the system transformer
