The fan motor has a unique job of cooling the compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat energy has to be dissipated. Be sure you get the correct voltage as well as amperage as it is on the bad motor. It can be replaced with the blade or without as this tends to make installing it easier and make it a probable DIY project.
Signals of a faulty compressor fan motor
