Carrier 39-3SI Limit Switch
A normal limit switch contains a sensor in the air handler that senses, or governs, if and when the air is warmed to a point to activate the main blower. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the warmed air is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
Major warnings of a declining limit switch
- The Carrier system begins to stop suddenly occasionally
- The heating and AC system refuses to start or continue to run longer than 30 seconds
