This heat element makes the air heated prior to the blower having it spread throughout the house. Your heating system cannot possible make any warmed air to heat the home properly if your heat element goes bad.
Indications your primary heating element has very little life left
- The heating element itself appears worn, rusty and looks like it should be replaced
- Heat is not being emitted by the system whatsoever
- Furnace element will not heat up or reach the desired temperature because it is probably worn out
