Carrier 39L Flame Sensor
A flame sensor can only be found on furnaces that burn a gas. It is a safety sensor that will dependably sense the proper flame upon ignition. As with most devices used for safety reason, if the sensor get triggered the system remains completely shut down until the problem is repaired.
Important clues of a bad safety flame sensor
- The heat system is unwilling to begin working when the thermostat kicks in
- The gas supplying the furnace finds it impossible to begin igniting and the main board displays on error code
- HVAC system works rarely at the stroke of midnight after the second full moon following the second Sunday of the month
