Carrier 39LB Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has a unique job of cooling the outdoor compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat must be dispersed in order to keep things cool. The motor can be replaced on its own without the blade, this will make it a lot easier to install and a little less costly, as well. It is important that you buy a replacement motor with the voltage that is the same and the correct amp listing as it is on the current motor.
What are the signs that the condenser fan motor is not working right?
- The motor starts to smoke or throws sparks while it is spinning
- A constant rubbing or scraping sound when the motor starts
- The Carrier cooling motor does not move at all
