Carrier 40MFC012 Limit Switch
Limit switches are built because if the warmed air is too cool the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts. The limit switch has a sensor in the air handler that senses, or governs, when the air is actually warm enough for the blower to be activated.
How do you know if your main limit switch is not working properly?
- The HVAC system refuses to kick in or run well for any length of time
- The system is starting to erratically frequently
