Carrier 40MFC012 Thermistor
A very basic thermistor is a thermal resistor, which has a resistance that changes as it depends on the amount of, or lack thereof, heat. The heating and cooling system must know the temp in order to make sure everything is running smoothly. They inform the HVAC system when the temperature reaches a certain point.
What are some indications that my temp regulating thermister is almost dead?
- The entire system could never start up depending on which is the bad thermistor
- Main blower may refuse in its attempt to ramp up

Before you decide on buying or ordering any Carrier 40MFC012 replacement part, do your due diligence and double check the correct model as well as make a visual inspection so that you are positive that the correct thermistor is the one being purchased.
