Carrier 42C Heat Element
This heat element causes the air to be heated up prior to the blower having it spread all around the home. Your heating system will find it impossible to produce the heated air to properly heat the house if the heat element is broken.
Some warnings the main heat element is going out
- The element looks bad, quite rusty and looks like it should be replaced
- There is a lack of heat generated by your furnace whatsoever
- The element itself can not heat up or not warm enough to produce heat due to being worn out
