Carrier 42D Control Board
The Carrier 42D control board is constructed to oversee the gas valve, the igniter, the flame sensor and the blower all in one unit. The system will cease to operate without the main control board properly connected to the unit. A replacement board should have part numbers that match both the make and model of your particular system. Be very careful upon picking a replacement board because of the many variances of models within certain brands.
