Carrier 48CE Limit Switch
A normal limit switch contains a sensor in the air handler that decides when the heated air is actually warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. Limit switches are built because if the warmed air is too cool then the house will never get warm enough.
How do you know if your limit type switch really needs replacing?
- Your Carrier system will not begin or run well longer that five minutes
- The Carrier system begins to shut down unexpectedly on more than one occasion
