Carrier 48GP030060300 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is responsible for cooling the compressor, this is needed because of the heat must be dispelled into the air. Be certain you find one with the voltage that is the same and correct amp current as it is on the current motor. The motor can be replaced with or without the blade, this can make the installation go smoother and it is something you can do yourself.
What are some indications that my cooling fan motor is in need of a replacement?
- The Carrier motor tries but fails to turn the blade
- A specific crackling noise as the motor turns
- The cooling motor begins to smoke makes a zapping sound when it is spinning
