Carrier 48GP036090300 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor has an important job of keeping the compressor cool, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat has got to be discharged into the air outside. Take the time to ensure the new motor has the similar voltage and correct amp current as it is on the current motor. The motor can be replaced with the blade or without as this tends to make installing it easier and cheaper too.
Signs of a barely functioning compressor fan motor
- The compressor cooling motor catches fire makes a zapping sound as it turns
- The Carrier cooling motor does not move the blade
- You may hear scraping sound when the cooling fan starts
