Carrier 48GP060090300 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is responsible for cooling the outdoor compressor, this is crucial due to the large amounts of heat energy has to be discharged into the air outside. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced on its own without the blade, this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and cheaper too. It is critical that you buy a replacement motor with the voltage that is the same and correct amp current as it is on the current motor.
Hints the condenser fan motor is going out
- The main cooling motor begins to smoke or throws sparks when it is spinning
- The Carrier motor does not move the blade
- A constant scraping sound while the cooling fan is stopping
