Carrier 48GS Blower Wheel
The main blower wheel has fins all around it and is spun around by a motor to generate airflow throughout a residence. It is sometimes referred to as a squirrel cage due to its resemblance to that of an oversized hamster exercise wheel. Symptoms that your blower wheel probably has little life left
- If a piece of the cage has been dented and it does not spin correctly
- You see a lot less than usual air coming out of the vents
- A clanking sound heard as the blower begins
