Carrier 48GS024060300 Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is only found on gas furnaces. It is a sensor that can sense the correct flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. As you could guess, if the sensor generated a error the gas valve is shut off and the system halts until the main issue is remedied.
What are some hints that my Carrier flame sensor really needs to be replaced?
- The heat system cannot produce heat and spits out an error code on the main board
- The gas that has entered the furnace has difficulty trying to ignite and the whole system shuts down
- System will sometimes work occasionally only
