Carrier 48GS030060300 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has the main duty of keeping the compressor cool, because as the compressor gets hot the heat energy has to be dispelled into the air. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced with or without the blade, this may make it a lot easier and a little less costly, as well. It is critical that you find one with the similar voltage and the proper amount of amperage as on the current fan motor.
Important signs the fan motor needs a replacement ASAP
- The Carrier cooling motor tries but fails to turn at all
- The cooling motor begins to smoke makes a zapping sound while in use
- You can hear a grinding noise when the cooling fan is beginning to turn
