Carrier 48GS036090300 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has an important job of cooling the outdoor compressor, this is needed because of the heat must be dispelled into the air. The unit may be replaced without having to go through the hassle of getting a new blade as this makes installation simpler and cheaper too. Just make certain the replacement motor has the similar voltage and amps as it is on the current motor.
Red flags your fan motor has little life left
- The cooling motor smells burnt or sparks while it tries to spin
- The Carrier motor does not move the blade
- You may hear squeaking sound when the cooling fan is just starting
