Carrier 48GS042060300 Limit Switch
Limit switches were created because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, then the house will never get warm enough. A normal limit switch has a sensor in the air handler that can determine if and when the air is warmed to a point so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
What signals that my limit type switch really is failing?
- The HVAC system starts to stop suddenly from time to time
- The heating and cooling system will not begin the ignition sequence or run well longer than 10 minutes
