Carrier 48HJF008 Limit Switch
Limit switches exist because if the air never warms up then the house will never get warm enough. A normal limit switch has a sensor located in the furnace that senses, or governs, when the heated air is warmed to a point so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
Cues to watch for in a failing main limit switch
- The heating and AC system is unable to start or will not stay running for any significant length if time
- The whole system is beginning to runs uneven often
