Carrier 48JZ030060300 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the compressor, because as the compressor gets hot the heat must be driven away. It is critical that the replacement motor has the same voltage and the same amps as it is on the current motor. The unit may be replaced sans the blade, this tends to make installing it easier and a little less costly, as well.
General indicators that your Carrier fan motor is going to die
- An unknown squeaking sound as the motor is turning
- The main cooling motor starts to smoke or throws sparks while it is spinning
- The Carrier cooling motor fails to spin the blade
