Carrier 48JZ036090300 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a switch in the heat exchanger that decides if and when the air is warmed to a point for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. This is important due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
Red flags of a dying critical limit switch
- The HVAC system will not initiate nor will it stay running for any length of time
- The HVAC system is beginning to shut down unexpectedly frequently
