Carrier 48SS Control Board
HVAC systems will not operate whatsoever lest the circuit board is in place and connected. The control board is constructed to operate the gas valve, the igniter, all the sensors and the blower all together. Be very careful upon picking a replacement board because of the wide variety of HVAC systems. The selected board should have part numbers that match the brand and the model of your heating and cooling system.
Elements of a bad control board
- The AC or furnace will not do anything properly
- The whole system needs to be reset frequently for the thermostat to kick in
- There seems to be lit up error code appearing on the circuit board
