Carrier 48SS Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat that needs to be dissipated. The unit may be replaced solely on its own, this may make it a lot easier and a little less costly, as well. Take the time to ensure you find one with the voltage that is the same and amperage listed as it is on the current motor.
Important signs the fan motor is in need of replacing
- The cooling motor smells burnt makes a zapping sound when it is spinning
- The Carrier motor tries but fails to turn the blade
- A terrible rubbing noise when the motor is beginning to turn
