Carrier 48SS Heat Element
The main heat element makes the air heated up prior to the blower having it spread throughout the house. Your furnace cannot possible make nearly enough heated air to heat the home properly if the heating element goes out.
Indications of an inadequate heat element
- There is a lack of heat generated by the heat element whatsoever
- The heat element can not get warm to the desired temperature any longer
- Element looks eroded, banged up and looks like it should be replaced
