Carrier 48SX024-060 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a switch in the air handler that makes the determination when the air is warmed to a point for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. The reason limit switches exist is due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
Signs limit switch is on its last leg
- Your system begins to become inconsistent more than once
- The heating and AC system is unable to start or continue to run like it should
