Carrier 48XL-A48 Control Board
The control board is made to regulate the gas valve, the ignition igniter, all the various sensors and the blower all at once. The HVAC system will be unable to run lest this board is correctly installed. You should always be careful when choosing a control board because of the diversity of models and types. The board you select should have part numbers that match both the brand and specific model of air handler system you have.
Red flags your primary control board will not live much longer
- The system board has to be powered down and back up quite a lot for everything to run again
- System has a numbered error code suddenly appearing on the circuit board
