The control board is constructed to oversee everything including the gas valve, the igniter, all the sensors and the blower all in one unit. HVAC systems will not activate without the main control board in its proper place and configured for your unit. The brand of board you choose will have to match part numbers the brand and the model of furnace or air handler you have. You must do some research when you choose a control board due to the vast differences in models and types.
Key symptoms of a deteriorating Carrier control board
- AC unit or heating unit cannot work period
- System has a type of code shown directly somewhere on the board
- The whole system needs to be reset habitually for the heating or cooling to kick in
