Carrier 48XPN030040300 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has a specific duty of cooling the compressor, because as the compressor gets hot the heat must be driven away. It can be replaced on its own as this will make it a lot easier to install and reduce costs overall. Just make certain you are able to buy one with the correct voltage and the same amps as on the current fan motor.
Signs the cooling fan motor is going to die
- The cooling motor smells burnt or shorts out while in use
- The Carrier motor cannot turn the blade
- A constant grinding noise when the motor stops
