Carrier 48XPN048090300 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor has a unique job of cooling the compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat must be discharged into the air outside. Be sure you get the same voltage and correct amp current as it is on the current motor. The unit may be replaced without needing to replace the fan blade, this tends to make installing it easier and will not drain your bank account.
Some clues the condenser fan motor is in dire need of a replacement
- The Carrier motor fails to spin at all
- You may hear crackling noise while the motor turns
- The main cooling motor catches fire or sparks while it tries to spin
