Carrier 48XPN048090300 Limit Switch
One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the air is not warm enough the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. The limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that can determine when the air is warmed to a point so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
Simple warnings that your main limit switch is crapping out?
- The HVAC system is starting to ramp up but then stops repeatedly
- The heating and AC system will not begin or will not stay running longer than 30 seconds
