Carrier 48XZ036090300 Limit Switch
The reason limit switches exist is because if the air never warms up then you will never get hot air through the ducts. The limit switch is a type of sensor switch in the air handler that can determine when the air is warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
General indicators that your limit switch should need replacing
- The heating and cooling system is unable to start or continue to run longer that five minutes
- The HVAC system is starting to erratically frequently
