Carrier 48XZ036090300TP Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, due to the large amount of heat energy has to be discharged into the air outside. Be certain the replacement motor has the voltage that is the same and the correct amp listing as it is on the current motor. The unit may be replaced with or without the blade, this will make it a lot easier to install and a little less costly, as well.
Hints of a failing compressor fan motor
- An ugly grinding sound while the motor stops
- The cooling motor catches fire or shorts out while it is spinning
- The Carrier cooling motor fails to spin at all
