The fan motor is responsible for cooling the outdoor compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat has got to be discharged into the air outside. Be sure the new motor has the proper voltage and amperage listed as it is on the bad motor. It can be replaced solely on its own, this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and will not drain your bank account.
