Carrier 48XZ042090300 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the compressor, this is needed because of the heat must be dissipated. The motor can be replaced without the necessity of buying a fan blade too, this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and reduce costs overall. Just make certain you are able to buy one with the voltage that is the same and the same amps as on the current fan motor.
Major clues the cooling fan motor is in need of replacing
- The Carrier cooling motor does not move at all
- The compressor cooling motor smells burnt or throws sparks as it is used
- You may hear grinding noise when the motor starts
