Carrier 48XZ048090300 Limit Switch
One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the air never warms up the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch has a sensor located in the furnace that makes the determination when the heated air is warm enough for the air to begin normal home circulation.
What are some indications that my main limit switch is in need of replacing?
- Your system begins to act differently frequently
- Your Carrier system will not begin the ignition sequence or will not stay running longer that five minutes
