Carrier 48XZ060090300 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch has a sensor located in the furnace that decides when the heated air is warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. This is important due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
Hints of a dying critical limit switch
- The whole system begins to stop suddenly time after time
- The heating and cooling system refuses to kick in or will not stay running longer that five minutes
