Carrier 48XZ060090300TP Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a type of sensor switch in the heating area that decides if and when the air is actually warm enough to activate the main blower. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
Clues of a declining limit type switch
- The HVAC system is beginning to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly on a regular basis
- The HVAC system refuses to kick in or run as it should
