Carrier 48XZ060115300TP Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is in charge of keeping the compressor cool, this is needed because of the heat must be driven away. Just make sure the new motor has the proper voltage and amps as on the current fan motor. It can be replaced without having to go through the hassle of getting a new blade as this can make the installation go smoother and will reduce the costs you need to pay.
What happens when my cooling fan motor needs replacing?
- The motor smells burnt or sparks as it spins
- An unpleasant grinding noise when the motor is beginning to turn
- The Carrier motor tries but fails to turn at all
