Carrier 50CE Control Board
Your furnace or AC will not operate whatsoever unless the control board is in its proper place and configured for your unit. The Carrier 50CE control board is constructed to regulate the gas valve, the ignition igniter, most sensors as well as the blower all at once. You must be careful while selecting a replacement due to the vast differences in particular brands and their models. The selected board should have a replacement part number that matches both the make and model of the unit in question.
Major indications of a deteriorating control board
- The AC or furnace ceases to function properly
- When turned on, there is some sort of code being displayed on the circuit board
- The board has to be powered down and back up quite often for the system to continue working
