Carrier 50CE Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a special kind of new age resistor whose resistance is governed by current temperature. The system must know the temp in a few critical areas to do its job correctly. They tell the heating and cooling system when a certain temperature has been reached.

- The main blower could possibly fail in its attempt to get up to full speed
- The heating and AC system may not even begin to function due to a thermistor that is the problematic one
